I am thinking of doing a 48 hour fast. I’ve lost 130 pounds but recently gained 20 pounds back since quarantine.
I am extremely sad about it. I feel almost like a failure. It’s been so hard to lose it back. I may start it today.
Any thoughts?
You’re so not a failure and that’s the beautiful thing about choosing fasting…you can just start anytime…its super easy to just pick back up.
I was doing ADF for 6 months pre-Covid…then Covid hit and I ate everything in sight for another 6 months. Well, last March I picked up modified ADF again (I don’t eat on Sun, Tues, Thurs) and since then I’ve lost 75 pounds.
I’ve learned with fasting that its ok to have off-days because you just start again the very next day. Its a great tool and you’ll do great starting again.
And its impossible to feel like a failure when you’ve lost the kind of weight you’re talking about…even with a bit of yo-yo…which is normal. You’ve done amazing things for your health!
130 pounds off and you’ve only gained 20 back. I wouldn’t call that a failure, maybe a little set back. You are doing the right thing by trying to nip it in the bud. Water fasting is a great idea, but if you can’t do that, maybe you should consider low carb or Keto OMAD.
