Answer

I enjoy the Yamamotoyama brand of teas. The family has been in business since 1690 and they do have organic teas, but they offer mostly green tea. Nothing herbal.

Palais des Thés is another brand of high quality of teas. Variety of teas from around the world with organic and herbal offerings.

Supposedly green tea is the best because of the high amounts of polyphenols and antioxidants it contains. Personally, I mostly do decaf green tea because my anxiety ramps up with caffeine. I understand some decaf processes are chemically done, but there are natural ways too, so I look for those.

I don’t have a specific brand for you but keep in mind most box store tea is.. “crap tea” Don’t get me wrong, I have my faves like lemon/raspberry zinger, or sleepy time tea. If you, for example, like green tea. Go to an Asian food market you’re going to find a large tin of hand rolled green tea leaves. As far as quality goes I’m going with the rolled leaf vs bag of leaf shards.

Traditional Medicinals is a pretty good brand when it comes to pre-packaged tea. I really like their fennel and lavender chamomile varieties. My favorite hack, though, is to buy organic dried flowers/plants and make my own blends. Hibiscus, lavender, rosemary, clove, chamomile, calendula, etc. etc. I also like steeping fresh herbs that are on their way out in warm water as a makeshift tea, especially basil, sage, lavender, and cilantro.
