So I decided to give the One snack a day routine a try. Have to say I am not a fan. I go to bed late so i ate this at close to midnight. I had carnivore stroganoff, a can of ravioli, and a smoothie with my protein powder. All of this stuff came up to less than 1500 calories. I burned 1000 just from exercise today. Anyway I was very full when i went to bed. “Nice and full” as cole would say. I slept fine as he said I would but when I woke up this morning and up until now I am beyond drained. I am dragging ass so bad. I have absolutely no energy. Which is odd since i ate so late at night you would think my energy would be on point. But no. I cant wait to go to lunch so i can get some energy. My favorite thing cole has put out is death fasting. That works great and i do it every weekend. But this one seems like a dud to me.
I would NOT recommend that much exercise and any cole diets at all. Fasting in general. If you are exercising you need the energy. And a 2000+ calorie deficit will do more damage to your metabolism than you could imagine. Not to mention you’ll hit a plateau like a wall of bricks. That tired, dead, dizzy when standing up feeling; get used to it. The only positive is the scale goes down I’m sure but you’re body is full on catabolic. Fast once a month max and however long it is try not to plan it around any heavy exercise. If you’re lifting weights and you’re not eating carbs, I have no words. The “”master”” himself does this and has admitted many many times you cannot lift without carbs.
Fasting is great and all, esp salt fasting but in my opinion, if you don’t have a lot of weight to lose or a big day coming up to lose it for, eating at a deficit is not only healthier but the only sustainable method.
I thought the idea was a small snack for people who otherwise have trouble sleeping due to being pretty lean and fasting. That sounds like a lot to be digesting in your sleep.
Death fasting is new to me, why do you like it and how do you do it?
