Usefulness of apps?

Pretty new to this and downloaded an app called simple.

After only a few days I find I don’t use it at all. I’ve figured out my fast start and stop times, figured that I still need to Be careful what I eat during those hours, and know to drink water ajd black coffee.

I know I’ve got to exercise regularly, ajd regular weigh ins are good.

Basically am I missing some functionality that enhances IF or is this pretty much it?

Hi there. I’m using the app called Zero, this app is helping me to track my start and end time. It also has a history where it can marked my first fasting and its succession. Depends with the app, the one I’m using has a lot of features that allows me to log-in my glucose, caloric intake, sleep and mood trackers, goal weight and stuff alike. It’s also free, they have a paid version though. :)

Having a timer where I could see where I was in my fast down to the second made all the difference for me. It was the last piece of the puzzle for me psychologicalIy. I won’t cheat the timer, it keeps me accountable, and fasting would be more difficult for me without it. It’s really handy to have a history of my fasts, too.

I like the apps because it gives me a history and also has notes about each time you’re in a new stage of if. Huge fan of that.I think using my fitness pal has been my most useful app because I can see what my calories and macros are. Especially when I am trying to achieve a certain amount of protein and carbs.
