Vitamins with a 36hr fast

I usually do 16:8 but I’ve embarked on a 36hr fast to try to mix it up. I take several vitamins that should be on an empty stomach, but others I have to take like a BP pill. Do you just not take vitamins for 36hrs? Or just a minimum?

Answer

It’s okay to take vitamin pills and capsules while fasting, as they are unlikely to affect insulin levels, but vitamins and supplements sold as gummies, liquids, or chewable tablets are typically sweetened and can stimulate an insulin response, so, if you use these, take them during your eating window

Answer

If you’re taking a daily drug that needs food to be effective, I would not do a 36 hour fast. Maybe check with your doctor to see if you can take the pill on an empty stomach, but I assume they will also just tell you not to do a 36hr fast.
