Will daily intermittent dry fasting impact athletic performance?

E.g. if I drink (and eat) between 10am - 6pm each day, will I suffer any negative effects or be at higher risk of injury when exercising at 7am?

Would it make more sense to reintroduce water before / during the exercise?

Answer

Just like taking the training wheels off of a bike for the first time, intermittent dry fasting will at first negatively impact your performance as your body needs time to adapt and learn the new way. But once you adapt over time (4-6 weeks of consistent work) you will begin to find that your performance is enhanced and you won’t want to workout in any other state. That is my experience at least.
