Workout out twice a day while fasting?

I’m 19 and weight 240 pounds and my height is 5’11. I usually fast on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes I eat Saturday or Sunday. I’ve been doing this for more than 2 months now. I’ve lose some weight. I usually do weights on my eating days and cardio on my fasting days. I want to start working out twice a day. Might not be possible when I’m fasting but I’m thinking of doing it on my eating days. Any advice is appreciated.

As a person who trains often twice a day all I can say is listen to your body. I don’t fast for weight loss and I am in a calorie surplus when not fasting so my situation might differ. But on non fasting days I do weights in the morning and cardio at night. On fasting days I do my zone 2 cardio and according to how i feel that can be 20 minutes to 2 hours. But remember that this is a lot of toll on your body and more than once’s I’ve gone to far which kept me bedridden for a day. If you really want to train twice a day I would recommend the non fasting days and for your fasting days I would keep it to zone 2 training.

You are already doing enough. Working out twice a day and also fasting will put more strain on your body than you would want which will set you back even more. Give yourself the time to lose weight. It didn’t happen overnight, so you shouldn’t expect rapid weightloss overnight either.

It’s possible, I do this, but I recommend you adjust your workouts to be intense, short and not demanding on your recovery abilities (nowhere near failure). Another way of saying it is to lift as heavy as possible, as often as possible, while keeping as fresh as possible. (See Pavel Tsatsouline for more info on training like this.) Similarly, cardio should be intense sprints, 10-20 seconds, with 40-120s rest. (OR light aerobics.)

The idea is that you give your body the signal that it needs to preserve your physical abilities, but you don’t train it into a state that requires a lot of resources to recover from.
