I’m a sports dietitian so I feel that I fit your mold pretty well! Definitely having fun playing around with nutrition science and fasting. Did not think it was a good idea to “carb load” before a fast but can see why there may be an argument to do it to accelerate fat loss results. Also trying to find ways to meet those electrolytes while fasting - I’m not a fan of using anything but straight minerals (I don’t use any artificially/non-calorically sweetened items when fasting) so getting in enough sodium can be challenging.
