16:8 IF May 16 -> August 22, 85kg to 75.8kg (Almost 10kg lost)

This was my progress over roughly 3 months of intermittent fasting and cleaning up my diet! I had gained a lot of weight due to some stressful circumstances (including COVID of course) and was generally eating terribly, but didn’t really realise how big I had gotten (my weight is usually around 72kg, so this was a big jump for me). I started doing 16:8 and within two weeks I already felt a massive improvement, less bloated, more in control of my cravings. I stuck with it for three months and was doing 16:8, starting my eating window usually around 10am but some days would end up doing more like 18:6 if I wasn’t feeling too hungry in the morning. I tried doing the fasting till later in the day but found that I never really felt like I could start my morning until I’d sat down and had breakfast! During this time I was counting calories in the beginning to get a general idea of how much I was eating, and gradually became less focused on the calories and more focused on just eating until I was satisfied and eating high quality food. I had also stopped lifting weights as consistently and started back up again which I think helped, even if it was just helping with stress relief!

Answer

This is so inspiring!! You look amazing.

I’m on my first week of 16:8, and I’m already noticing less bloat… I’m currently 5’7 at 160, hoping to get back down to my comfortable weight of 135-140.

I’m counting calories as well, and incorporating some keto as well.

Thank you for posting this, well done! 🙏🏻
