33yo Mother Need Help

Hi I’m 33F, I’m 5’10 and 220lbs, size 12/14. My youngest of two children is 14 months old and I stopped naturally losing baby weight when he was around 3 months old. Over the last year I’ve been on every diet you can imagine. I’ll lose about 10 lbs in a few weeks then give up and gain it all back. I’m currently doing 19:5. I’ve been on it for 2 weeks now and the scale hasn’t moved. I’m finding it hard to stay motivated but I don’t want to give up again. The first week was easy but lately I’m extremely hungry around the 17-18 hour mark. Does anyone have any tips to stay motivated? My goal is 170 lbs, size 6/8.

Hey fellow mom! I also (restarted) IF 2 1/2 weeks ago after I stopped breastfeeding. I’ve done it before and it’s a very helpful tool but honestly, it only works if you still watch what you eat. If the scale isn’t moving after two weeks, you’re probably consuming too many calories. Tracking is super annoying but doing it for a week might be helpful to understand where you could improve your eating habits. I lost 6 pounds since I started which is roughly what I calculated. Wishing you all the best, you can do it!

Just give it time…stick to it. The way I understand…fat from around organs is removed first then the rest of the body. Concentrate more on how you’re feeling compared to what the scale says. Month 3 is when my fasting effects took off.
