I’m not complaining but is this normal or too fast?
I lost 8 pounds in the first week after Christmas - I estimate 2 pounds fat and 6 pounds water. So 8 pounds in a month is very much doable. Might be a bit water weight if you just started but otherwise 1-2 pounds a week is very realistic.
I lost 25 in three weeks on the last pre packaged food type diet I did (267 to 242) and I assumed a great deal of it was water. It’s amazing how much sodium we as Americans consume without thinking about it. Cut it out and FLOOSH out goes the water.
