80 hours in, diarrhea

Im 80 hours into a fast. Drank 3 glasses of water mixed with 1/4 tsp of potassium and 1/4 tsp of pink salt, one in the morning, one during lunchtime and the last one about 4 hours ago. I’m currently sitting on the toilet and I just had the most watery diarrhea of my whole life, basically no solids whatsoever. I’m kind of scared now. Did anyone else experience this? I’m not new to fasting so this is kind of surprising for me.

Answer

Could be a bit too much salt but remember there is no fiber in your system to slow down the fluid through the gi tract, so, kinda expected. Not something I would worry about, just sip more slowly next time.

I have had too much salt come out as projectile vomiting too, better to consume slowly ime.

Answer

If it was hot and fast, that’s toxins leaving the body quickly and a very good thing. Also, salt water doesn’t stay in the body, so, don’t chug it, you might have given yourself a saltwater flush. Also, not a bad thing.
