A tip regarding fibers and hunger

When I encounter a “hunger crisis” – usually around 10-11 AM, as I fast until noon – I drink a big glass of water with a spoonful of psyllium-husks stirred in it. It fills the stomach and does wonder for digestion and general well-being.

It works for me, anyway :)

Answer

I’m experimenting with taking metamucil during my fasting window 3x a day.

I will take each serving with 8oz of water and follow up with 16oz of water to ensure I’m getting enough fluids. I drink ~1 - 1.5 gallons of water a day.

I know this will technically break a fast, but I’m focusing more on weight loss and that will come with total calories consumed. I eat big meals for omad that leaves me pretty bloated, even with lots of veggies. I also felt lethargic at work from being a bit constipated. I did switch to a more keto inspired diet. Metamucil 3x daily has helped reduce the bloating and increased energy through more frequent bowel movements.
