Anyone doing 12:12 and seeing results?

Lately I’ve been unable to keep to my 16:8 fasts and end up eating at the 12hr mark. I’m currently working at a calorie deficit and walk for hour every or every other day. I find that I’d rather listen to my body and eat when I’m hungry to avoid overeating, but I’m worried 12:12 isn’t a good enough fast to see results. Does anyone have this method? Do you see results? How do you supplement your 12:12 fast so that you still lose weight.

Answer

12:12 is a regular eating window. You’ll need to pay attention to your calories and activity.

What do you mean when you say “listen to my body”? It’s unlikely you are hungry after not eating for a few hours. You’re likely just used to eating and “craving” something out of habit. Very few people know how to really listen to their body. Your body won’t tell you it needs cake or cereal because it doesn’t.

Change takes effort and there will always be a period of discomfort while you adjust. It’s perfectly fine if you don’t want to fast but you’ll need to pick some other way to lose weight if that’s really your goal. It’s also perfectly fine to decide to remain where you are. You get to pick for yourself.
