First 72 hour fast — Quick Question!

Hi all,

I’m doing my first 72 hour fast. It was a spur of the moment decision and I probably haven’t prepared as well as I ought to have done.

My last meal was at 7pm last night, although I had several calorific drinks (non-alcoholic wine) after dinner until about midnight.

Am I correct in assuming my fast didn’t “officially” begin until midnight?

If so, I guess my 72 hour fast will end up being 80 hours, because I don’t want to break my fast at midnight, so will need to wait until the next morning.

I suppose ending my fast a couple of hours before 72 isn’t the end of the world if I can’t wait that long.

Interested in your collective wisdom.

Fantastic work going for a 72hr fast

Yep Midnight’s your starting point, my only recommendation is water, water and you’ve guessed it water.

If you feel funny and don’t have an electrolytes just pop some salt a glass of water.

Good luck on your journey
