I get cranky if I can’t do a full 36 hour fast, but I’m no longer ever looking forward to food. I look forward to “okay soon this hunger will go away”
but thinking about the food, eating the food just feels like a chore. brushing your teeth kind of feels good, but that’s a chore too and i’ve never been stoked about it.
this might be hopeful news or bad news for those of you who are wondering how fasting could change your relationship with food.
as always mileage may vary, but this is my reality now about 2 months in to daily IF or alternate day fasting
Yea I always say ADF kills my tastebuds. Like my favorite foods just don’t taste good anymore. It’s always a meh feeling. Then OMAD the food still tastes good but I get full quickly so I’m uncomfortable for a while after. 20:4 works best for me, breaking with a protein shake and then eating my real meal an hour later.
