Frustrated on 20/4

I’ve been on 20/4 for the past 6 weeks, and I see no weight change at all. I’ve been doing IF on and off for the past 10 years, but everytime I was doing IF the weight dropped pretty quickly. So not sure what I am doing wrong this time around. Here’s my schedule

Weight Training - 4 days a week at 6AM for about 1hour

Eating Window - 10AM - 2PM

5-6 mile Run - Once a week at 6AM

3-4 mile Walk - 3-4 times a week at 6PM

1 day a week I take a break from excercise and IF.

Within 4 hour window I usually get time for only 2 meals with focus mostly on lean meats and vegetables. I eat very little carbs and sugar. With the excercise schedule I am in calorie deficit on top of IF, so I should be losing weight.

Any ideas?

Answer

I mean it can be anything from your macros to your weight, not enough protein or too many carbs can be the culprit in as much as you think you are focusing properly on this. Much easier to lose weight if having more to lose, without your stats, age, weight and height it is hard to tell. Hydration, sodium, hormones, so many things to be honest your exercise schedule could do a bit more cardio especially if your body is already used to this and you want to lose weight but again hard to tell without more details.

Answer

My initial thought is that you are turning the fat into muscle, which weighs more.

Is your waist slimmer? Muscles bigger?

I switched my weight lifting to high intensity interval training, but I’ve plateaued in my weight loss for this reason because I’m gaining muscle in the interim.
