How long water fasting for weight loss?

Hi, Ive been fasting 2 times before, once 48 hours and once 11 days. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances i gained 60% of the weight back.

I ‘solved’ biggest part of my personall situation so 3 days ago i started on another fast determined to keep the weight off by going straight to a keto lifestyle afterwards.

I need to loose approx 15 kg and lost 4 already, i understand this isnt all fat. For me toget a good headstart is it oke to fast for 8 days or do you recommend i fast longer?

And from which day on will lost weight be lost fat and how many % of the weight is actually fat?

If you are a healthy adult, you could water-fast for 2-3 weeks easily without the need for supplements and such.

You have to understand that losing weight is a psychological game. Hunger is a sensation and drive that we all experience, but it is NOT the body telling you it needs food for energy. It is totally derivative from neural sensations from an empty stomach and a low-NORMAL blood glucose with a HUGE amount of psych overlay.

The trick is to get used to having an empty stomach without freaking out, basically.

This knowledge should help you quite a bit.

Personally, I have water-fasted until 1 pm for the last five years. I have got to the point where I do not WANT to put crap in my stomach. Also, my hunger for food has been blunted and I do not think much about food at all.

I have evolved into eating amid-day snack, and then something more substantive in the late-afternoon and early evening, and then maybe some snacking until bedtime at 10-11.

I am down probably 20-30 pounds to my normal weight, and feel good.

The brain will actually change when you get used to a fasting routine- but it will take 1-2 months. It took 1-2 years before it became second nature to me.

Typically, a person with high body fat, say above 28% can go many days on their glycogen stores. It took me 5.5 days to get to that rough spot. Then you are losing fat. Those first few days you are losing mostly water. Eating carbs means retaining water.

Best path for high body fat folk is 5-6 days water fasting then restricted calorie keto diet after.

Thank you,My scale hasnt moved in two days now but due to the heat wave i am drinking a bit more bouillion so I think thats the issue. But ive read the weight loss keeps on going. In a week i have an extremely bussy time at work but lets see how my energy levels are a couple days before otherwise i can decide right then and there to stop or continue with the fast.

But i want to loose 15 kg, 33lbs, so thats 57 days, with the original 3 days to start loosing weight this id 60 days so two months. Man thats long!!
