I’ve been doing omad lately but want to try to attempt a multi day fast. I can go 24 hours no problem and not really feel hungry but sometimes I’ll just think about food in the fridge or from a restaurant I’d like to eat and then I end up eating that. I know it’s all down to willpower, I’ve done a 3 day fast once before, but any tricks to not think about food so much?
Have you tried journaling? Sometimes I’ll just write or doodle and realize I want to eat because I’m lonely or anxious or frustrated over something else. The writing is cathartic AND picking up a pen stops me from pick up a fork.If I’m really not feeling introspective I’ll listen to a podcast or work on learning a new language. Also, water water water and when that’s boring, tea.
