So, we know that the insulin index for lean meats are high, such as in a chickne breast. If we were to eat the chicken breast with more fat, such as adding 2 tablespoons of olive oil or 20 grams of butter, would that decrease the insulin spike?
Ignorant question here - do we care about an insulin spike, as long as it comes down to normal properly? Kind of like I don’t care about a blood pressure spike when I run up stairs, which is the body just doing what it is supposed to, and is different from hypertension.
