Hi! I lost 111lbs. I was doing great, but then hit a stall. A long stall. Then gained 50lbs in 2020š I want to give fasting a try, but Iām not sure which to try. Regular fasting, liquid fasting, ADF, IFā¦.? Would anyone recommend a specific type of fasting for me? Or any other method for weight loss
Iāve fasted before but only for 4 days. I had to stop because I got a migraine and had to take meds with food. Any help is appreciated
Just start slowly.IF first, if you feel good, try omad then ADF then 48 hour fast and so on. Find the one you can keep doing without overstress you but effective. Some people only do IF and OMAD and they got really good result, some need longer fasting period.
Itās important to remember that fasting and variations of it are only a tool.
The most important thing is always going to be the quality of food you eat (minimal processed food, minimal refined carbs) and quantity of food (I am a binge eater and I STILL eat way too much occasionally, itās far better than a few years ago though).
Fasting is not an excuse to āallowā a bad relationship with food to continue (volume and quality).
If you gained back 50 lbs after losing 111lbs (which is amazing btw), you should really think about the long-term relationship you have with food.
Thatās by far the most important point if you want to make sure this stays consistent forever for the rest of your life.
You HAVE to give up fast foods/junk foods/takeaways. At least dial the frequency down to a point where you weight is not bouncing back up this much.
But in terms of an actual strategy. Iād highly recommend trying 18/6 to OMAD first.
Did you take the appropriate electrolytes in the FAQ? It is most likely the reason for beginners for headaches and lethargy if they didnāt follow it. I have had the same thing.
