Low energy/hard to do fasted cardio. Does it get easier?

39F SW 178 CW 176 GOAL. no goal So Ive been doing 16:8 for 9 days with tracking calories, carbs proteins and fats Im eating a ton of protein and healthy in my window. Im finding it easy and I feel great.

Problem is - I generally xcountry ski or run 5-8 km (Canadian) during my fasting time 9-11am about 4 days a week

I can’t shift eating times because that works better for my family and work. Im finding myself to have lower energy and feel more tired during my skis.

Is this just a beginner issue? Will my body adapt to burning fat as fuel during fasted cardio?

Answer

Running fasted isn’t usually an issue for most people. Now if skiing is important to you, then you might just want to skip IF those days and cut the calories you eat before you ski out of some other part of your day.

You don’t have to do IF every day. Make it fit your lifestyle.

And I don’t ski, but I don’t think I’d want to go out fasted. May be too many unforeseen things that you wont have to deal with just doing basic cardio.
