Question(early stage hunger)

So I want to get back into IF but my problem right now is I wake up just hungry as fuck and I feel so hungry I’m nauseous when I don’t eat for a long time. I’m sure this is just a result of being addicted to carbs. Any hints for getting through that first first day or two of being super hungry?

Answer

Switch over to a more sustainable diet for a few days before starting up. Ease into the fasting with smaller fasting windows. Don’t jump in head first if you already have doubts. Just find a starting point and get your toes in the water.

Answer

I’ve been doing OMAD for 5 months now (50pounds lost so far)

I eased into OMAD for dinners, the hunger pangs were really bad. I would eat half a sandwich in the morning and then have a full dinner. Took about a week and I was eventually able to give up eating in the morning.

Good luck!

Answer

Since nobody has stated the obvious yet: drink black coffee in the morning. Helps with appetite suppression and has negligible calories. If you think “ew black coffee - gross” just do it for a few days and you will start to like it just fine. I used to put a ton of cream and sugar in my coffee. Took me like 3 days of drinking it black to where I loved it again.
