Hello,
I did 3 of 72 hours, and my last one was 123 hours. In the last one, I feel that I cured my obsession with eating. I’m someone who opens the fridge every few minutes, eat many pizzas and cheeseburgers, and now when I eat things, it feels like they really have a taste. Also, when I’m eating I add so much sauce like mayo (I mean, A LOT), and now I can’t because it will feel like too much.
But I have to add, that I train at the gym, and I need 2500 calories for maintanance (82kg right now), and 2500 calories feel impossible, I barely eat 500-1500 calories now and I feel that I can’t add more, I’m not even hungry.
It is already the 5th day after the 5-days fasting, and I really want to know - is this something usual?
Also, I would like to start a 7-day fasting, is it ok to start one today or should I wait? When I ended my fasting it was because I had pain in my stomach area (I think its because the body tried to reposition the areas inside).

Thanks for your time!
Is your overall goal weight loss? It is not unusual having a smaller appetite/portions after an extended fast. The best advice I have is to listen to your body. If you would like to begin another fast, go ahead, but just continue to listen to your body and if it is giving you any signs of trouble stop immediately. It sounds like you’ve been doing that. Make sure to replenish with electrolytes. I’m glad to hear that fasting has helped to readjust your cravings for unhealthy foods and wish you a good fast.
Another thing to consider is it might be possible that you would eat more if the right foods were available. I feel the same way you do right now as I am coming to the end of a 14 day fast… I am not hungry and nothing available seems appetizing. However, I would eat wagyu beef, live uni, and organic grass fed patè. No chance of me finding any of that! When I listen to my body, I get the feeling I am in a food desert. But I think your real question is if there is something wrong. I have to agree with the previous commenter, listen to your body and fast again if that seems to be what it is saying.
Keep in mind that when you are fasting you are not cutting calories, you are actually taking them from fat reserves. This may sound weird because we are used to the idea that cutting calories is what leads to fat loss but fasting is a whole different beast.
If you OMAD, and your maintenance is 2500 calories, 834 calorie meal would be maintenance. That has your body pulling the other 66% from fat without lowering your metabolism. If you eat meal and a half, 1250 calories, that still has your body drawing 50% of your caloric requirement from fat. If you pig out and eat two meals, 1,668 calories, that would still have your body tapping fat for 33% of your calories.
Always remember; you eat for the time you are eating, not to compensate for the time you fast. If you are not hungry use your eating windows to boost your nutrition, not your calories.
