Scheduling Advice

I started fasting about two years ago (18:6) and with healthy diet changes lost about 50lbs. About 6 months ago I started exercising. I get up at 4:20am to head to the gym at 4:50am. Due to my work schedule, I am not able to eat dinner until about 6pm. Now that I wake up so early and am working out I cannot wait until noon to eat anymore and gave up fasting shortly after starting to exercise regularly. I would like to get back to fasting and I know people do it successfully even with busy schedules. What do people do who wake up so early?

i follow Dr. Fung. To him from what I gather it’s not about fasting but more about not overeating. He is talking about dont constantly eat. eat 3 meals a day and don’t snack.

i don’t think it’s unhealthy if u eat from 6am to 10pm. you are doing mini fasts in the middle. don’t over eat. don’t snack n u shd be good to go.

I workout first thing in the morning. I always eat very shortly after my lifting days which is usually around 0800. I simply end my feed/start my fast at 1400 each day. For me this is an easily maintainable schedule but I don’t have any significant demands in my time. I would have to do a good deal of meal prep to make this work if I wasn’t retired.
