Should you fast if you are a student?

I am on my day 2, and I feel pretty dizzy and I have a headache. I know the hunger kind of goes away after day 3, but I have at least 8hr of school everyday, and I don’t want to do poorly just because I am fasting. And before you ask I am over 18.

During a fast, your body goes into ketosis, ketone are better fuel for your brain, you’ll have better mental cognition. I’m a senior in college for engineering and i have a crazy work load, I love fasting because I’m a lot sharper. Senior in college here, been water fasting twice a month for the last 4 months. I normally fast 6 days every other week. The first two days can be kinda rough, after the third day I feel pretty much back to normal and the last three days of my fast are completely fine. When it comes to focusing, I really don’t notice a difference when I am on my fasts. If you start to feel faint or dizzy, try salt. While a lot of people who water fast are against this, I personally like to take a multi-vitamin especially to deal with potassium loss. Your body will feed off keytones, but there important vitamins and minerals you potentially loose out when fasting. Good luck!
