Hi guys, I’m new to this sub but glad I found it! I’ve done regular fasts before, but never a dry fast, and I’m looking for some tips as I’ve been trying to get into it. I’m struggling with cravings more than usual and I think a big part of it is feeling the need for something to break up my day - I don’t have that much on at the moment and meals/drinks generally provide an aspect of routine that I miss when attempting to dry fast. When regular fasting I can, for example, have a tea in the morning, lunch, evening. Without that aspect, things feel a bit random and out of sync. Do you guys have anything you ‘replace’ food/drink with? Or any tips on how to overcome drink cravings when they occur? Usually they stave off after a few days with regular fasts, I’m wondering if it’s the same with dry ones, or how to deal with it meanwhile. Thanks!
First practice several 1 day dryfasts, then several 2 day dryfasts and after that try a 4 day dryfast etc. The beauty of dryfasting is that you get way less cravings than waterfast.
If your mouth gets too dry at around day 2/3, make sure to have a tongue scraper to clean ur tongue. And you can always rinse some water in your mouth and spit it all out.
Dryfasting takes practice for longer days, dont rush it and dont overthink it!
If youre bored you can always watch netflix or play a videogame or whatever. Make sure to meditate while dryfasting and dont do physical activities. You can and should go for regular walks.
If you dont have anything to do, just relax and enjoy the euphoria of the fast. I highly advice to do a dryfast and then transition to a waterfast!
Tip: dont watch youtube mukbangs/ people drinking.
