Splash of milk

Is having a splash of milk, or even better almond or cashew milk (25 cal per cup) enough to TRULY break my fast. I’ve lost about 12 pounds so far but I’m stalling the last week or 2

Try cutting it out and seeing if it helps snap you back into losing weight.

I had a splash of heavy whipping cream in my coffee every single day of my heavy fasting period intended to lose weight and lost 100+ pounds while doing it. I was constantly doing 72 hour fasts back-to-back though.

It really depends on what your fasting schedule looks like to see if this will have any effect. Ultimately if you’re trying to lose weight and doing longer fasts, a splash of milk a day isn’t going to do you any harm as long as you’re continuing to see progress.

I was doing “dirty fasting” from Jan - May of 2021, I had bone broth around lunch time and put half and half in my coffee. I also drank flavored sparkling water all day. I was able to lose about 20 pounds that way, until I hit a month long plateau and did research for how to break past it. That’s when I read “fast. Feast. Repeat” and learned all about how tasting food affects our fasting. For me, clean fasting was the right step as I went on to loose 15 more pounds and reach my goal weight in September. But, I think you can still get results if you have something like this. If you stop getting results it could be little things like this.

so what I’m about to say will cause several pretentious peoples head to explode. If your reason is for weight loss no, if your doing it for every other reason then yes. Even the founder of the 16:8 said less than 50 calories is ok. If 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond or cashew milk (12.5 calories) allows you to hit your goals then don’t worry about it.
