I have been doing ADF For (on and off) about a year. I have lost 50 lbs but am stuck with 20 more to go.
I was wondering if being more “clean” on the fasting would do anything. For instance right now I have diet soda when I am fasting and I was wondering if that could be holding things up. I also have coffee.

Anyone know if being more clean on fasts will do anything?
Megan Ramos (Jason Fung’s clinician) had a few articles on thefastingmethod where she implied exactly that: especially for older women, clean fasting is the way to go. If you’ve stalled, the there’s no harm in trying it.
If anything, you could try eating less calories on eating days. But it’s pretty unlikely that you aren’t at a caloric deficit while doing ADF, it’s just that weight loss slows down as you get closer and closer to your goal weight. So just keep up the great work and you’ll lose the weight eventually.
