This is so hard to do when studying all day

I’m currently spending this whole month studying for a big exam coming up, and I was hoping to also spend this time working my way up to OMAD, but man… sticking to the fasting window while studying has been so damn hard. I just get hungry while studying!! Anyone other students or knowledge workers struggle with the same thing? After a few hours of studying, I just get hungry to the point of distraction. How have others worked through this? How do you stay focused on your work while sticking to your eating window?

Answer

Yes, I experience this also. I find that taking a walk when the hunger wave starts helps me. If you have some audio studio materials, you can study and walk at the same time.

Preparing and drinking a black coffee (or green tea, to a lesser degree) helps me too. For some reason, the process of preparing the coffee (grinding the beans, brewing and pressing) seems to help me more than the actual drinking of it.

Answer

I do OMAD and I’m a full time student who typically studies between 8 to 10 hours a day. I don’t have a problem staying in my window but I’m usually always either drinking or moving around. I drink a couple of cups of coffee a day, plus lots of water. I get up often to just move around the room and not be completely sedentary. At least once a day I’ll take a longer walk or head to the gym for a bit.
