For context, I’m a male, 22, 250lbs, 6ft Any tips you guys can give me? How to get started and stay on track? Thanks in advance :)

Been doing it for about 4 years now. My recommendation is to start slow, don’t go straight into 16:8. Here was my process:

Week 1 - 12:12 (this seems comical but it will help start your routine)

Week 2 - 14:10

Week 3 - 15:9

Week 4 - 16:8

Try 16:8 for a month and occasional try and push it to 18:6. Once you understand how your body reacts you can either stop there or work up to Warrior or Omad.

The most important tips I can think of is, hunger is usually thirst or boredom.

Good luck and remember this is a lifestyle not a diet so take your time you’re not in a sprint!

Answer

Have a think about where you slip back into old habits and think about strategies to deal with high risk situations for you.

For some people it helps to be very organised (pre arrange meals, shop ahead of time etc). Others find stress triggers bad habits - so dealing with their stress and coming up with alternative, healthy ways of coping is important. So when you say ‘hard to stick to’ - analyse these words and what they really mean for you.
