I went on a 14 day water fast recently and my dreams were crazy in the last 5 days. Is there a scientific reason for this? Is this normal

I had the same thing happened to me when I started doing 36 hour fasts! It went away after the first week or so.

I believe it is due to Ketosis. When you are not in ketosis you brain runs on sugar - just about the minimum of what you need. When you go into Ketosis your brain is lathered with Ketones and gets much more energy. (There is a reason the diet is used for epileptics). The extra energy makes you more focused during the day and causes vivid dreams at night.
