What Time Of Day Do You Take Electrolyte Supplementation?

I’m just curious how and when you take your electrolytes when water fasting.

I have a large cup of crystal lite lemonade with my daily allotted sodium mixed in. I drink it in the first hour of my day. Should I spread this out? Maybe split it in half?

Does it even matter? Or are you fine to take them anytime as long as you get them in?

I’d like your opinions and anecdotal stories/results please!

Also I personally don’t exercise on an extended water fast (except yoga).

Answer

Unless doing 48hr+ fast, electrolytes are literally pointless. Blows my mind to hear people consuming electrolytes or bone broth for such short fasts.

Also- ditch the crystal light. Just black coffee or tea or water

Answer

I take all my daily electrolytes one chug in the morning. I swish it in a little bit of warm water then down the hatch. I then immediatepy drink 1 can of lemon or lime spindrift to get the taste out of my mouth. 3 calories, completely natural and like 2g carbs or something, very minimal. Note i only take it every other day.

How people sip on them is so beyond me. All the power to them but as long as it gets in my body im good.
