What to do after a binge

Yesterday I decided to drink alcohol, get fastfood and snack while hanging out with my sister, wellp I consumed 3500 calories and gained almost 3.5 pounds overnight! What should I do today to help me get back on track? Thanks!

It’s ok, don’t worry about it at all! Changing things up is actually a good thing. If you do the same fast every day your body will adjust and fasting will stop working as well. An occasional cheat day is good for the soul!

Answer

Just don’t overly restrict after, that’s a dangerous spiral that can get out of control easily. I know from experience.

Just forget about the binge, it was a cheat day, we all have them sometimes. Just continue with the work you were doing and you’ll be fine.

Answer

You are too much. Dont let that event be your future. It is only a big deal if you allow it to be. I ate a bunch of pizza and had too much red wine yesterday. Today, i just had a regular day and I am back at it. It is okay to have too much sometimes, just not all the time :)

Answer

I out loud will say to myself “I ate a lot and it’s okay. Im still moving forward.” The simple act of acknowledging it out loud helps with the guilt which can prompt more emotional eating. And then I focus on drinking extra water the next day - to help rehydrate after drinking and flush out excess because I’ll usually be bloated. Takes water to get rid of water!
