32F -I recently started doing IF, and I’m doing the 16:8 right now. My job is extremely physical (I’m a massage therapist so I’m on my feet moving all day, as well as I have to be present and not thinking about food) and I’m finding that I’m good with fasting up until work (I start at 11am). I would shift my eating window but I also work long hours and I don’t get home early enough to make dinner and eat any earlier. My co worker suggested putting some (a tsp) of MTC oil into my coffee, and it’s really helped a lot, I find I can go almost 18 hours without food, but am I breaking my fast?
I’m just looking for weight loss, but other benefits right now.
I believe that is what they call a “dirty fast.” I don’t know the effects of a dirty fast, I don’t think it’s really been studied. I plan to dirty fast on weekends, today was my first day doing dirty vs clean (clean is 0 calories) and it did reduce hunger. I had monk fruit sweetener and high fat almond milk in my coffee this morning.
