2nd “36 hour” fast this week

Gotta say that I’m proud of myself for making it through a 2nd “36 hour” fast this week. Technically, I’m at 41 hours.

Energy is good. I am noticing some “grumps” coming on, but that could be from knee injury pain.

Mentally, I do feel a little ditzy and scattered. My brain is going 100 mph, but all good and workable.

And miracle of miracles, the scale is ACTUALLY moving downward. Yeehaw!!!

EDIT: I think my slang is confusing. I don’t feel dizzy. I feel ditzy, which is slang for spazzy, scatter-brained, brain going in 100 different directions. But thanks for the salt suggestions!

Good on you.👍

I listened to a podcast by Dr Andrew Huberman and he says if you’re starting to feel a bit dizzy, try a bit of salt in water. You need the salt to keep your neurons firing and it won’t break the fast. Not too much salt though. Don’t make yourself sick.

Awesome. If you are not taking electrolytes, highly recommend the link in the sidebar at r/fasting. The mood and focus issues may be low sodium. A pinch of salt or a few sips of pickle or olive juice should help.
