During the lockdown when nothing was allowed, I got into IF and found it really easy to adhere to. But now I’m doing competitive sports again, 3 nights a week and I struggle to find a balance between eating enough to have energy, and still being in a deficit and having a small eating window. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?
my advice is just do your sports and don’t think about it. You will have plenty of energy without food. The whole food industry is always trying to connect everything with eating. This just keeps people eating all the time. Your body will build up the ability to use fat as a fuel if you exercise without eating, or go for around 40 minutes or longer. Let it do that. Even lean people have enough fat to run a few marathons!
