Day 6, and I have some concerns. Weight has been the same for about 3 days now

Just like the title, first 4 days were hell day 5 has been nice and today wasn’t hard at all. One thing that bothers me is I have been at 187 for 3 days straight now, going above and below it periodically but just checked now and that admn number again.

I thought the lack of pain is due to my ketones finally being efficient and giving me the boost I need. I also walked about 8 kms today so I am pretty active, the lack of weight loss is worrisome especially since the last day of my fast is tomorrow. It’s just extremely frustrating to put up with all this pain and since it’s typical to gain 5 pounds after stopping I’d be at an unhappy weight.

So considering all this, I’m considering going another 7 days, has anyone made a decision like this before. Is there an explanation for the weightloss stall?

The next 7 days, is there anything else I should worry about? I would really love to hear from the long term fasters about the difference between the second 7 vs the first 7.

Also I got crazy lower back pain on day 4-5 but it just went away, have no idea where that came from either

Unless you ate when you didn’t notice or froze all bodily functions you burned fat.

Now, your weight might not have moved because of how much you were drinking (i.e. it’s liquid that you’ll pass), or user error on your scale.

You’ll only lose about half a pound of fat a day and that can easily get lost in the noise (it’s about the weight of a cup of water).

I get pain in my lower back sometimes when I’ve got gas or I’ve got to poop. You might be surprised that you’ve still got stuff in you after 5 or 6 days of fasting, but you do-do. If you weren’t eating lots of fiber before you started fasting or drinking enough water you could even be constipated.

Have you been drinking water? What is your current fasting regimen? Is this your first 6 day fast? What are your electrolytes?

You keep describing “pain” and im not sure what you mean? Are you referring to actual physical pain…or the mental/emotional pain of not eating.

What is your age/sex/height, what is your goal weight.

I am asking these questions to make sure nothing is wrong with your body that would warrant a visit to the doctor. If everything is the way it should be, i’d advise you to either buy a new scale or be patient with your body adjusting to the fasting. It is however peculiar that you haven’t lost any weight in 3 full days.
