Did 16/8 fasting for two months and didn’t notice any changes?

Hello, I had been doing keto for about 2 months (and on an off before)when I started IF, but although I tried it for two months, I never noticed any changes in my fat loss at all. Are there any other women out there that haven’t really noticed like a big fat loss from IF? I’ve tried again for about a month or a month an a half but no changes in weight-I never went over by calorie intake(about 1400 when working out or 1200 when no workout)or over 50 carbs. I’m 5’1 and 163lbs any tips/ideas?

I found an 8 hour window to be just too long. I vary between a 2-5 hour window, and throw in a monthly 3-5 day fast - and find that much more effective. You may just need to try a shorter window - I think the 8 hour window works better for men.

Maybe do a few days a week omad or a two hour window, or include a 24 -36 hour fast once or twice a week and reevaluate. I really am starting to think that calories don’t matter but only if it’s from protein and fat.

Hey Jspl1! I can only speak for myself, but I found that I have to be super strict with carbs to stay in ketosis, my range is definitely under 20g net, best for me is around 15g.

The calories count, but not as much as hitting my protein and restricting carbs. Some days I go over my calorie goal and it doesn’t affect my loss. As for the fast, I’m doing a daily 20:4, and it works really well for me, I’m steadily losing 2-3lbs a week.
