IF 16:8 4 weeks No change

Hi ! I calorie count approx. 1400-1500 calories per day. I’m a woman 31 year old. My BMI is 24.7, I would like to reach a BMI of 22.6 . I’m inactive mostly because I have a desk job 40hrs a week + I study after work to become a CPA and I do 30 min to 1 hour pilates/ day . I do not take any medications. I have no illness.

It has been 4 weeks that I do IF 16:8 . I drink water and green tea during fasting.

I lose 1 kg one week and the following week I gain 1 kg.

In the end, my weight doesn’t change . :( Why it doesn’t work for me ?

If you don’t tell us who your are it is hard to answer….are you a woman? Time of the month can have a big impact on your weight. If you are 65kg this amount of calories is not really a deficit. Are you on calorie deficit? By how much?

Answer

Also what is your current height and weight? Maybe you are not over weight. What is your BMI? If you are eating 1400 to 1500 calories but are like 132lbs and 5’4 woman you will need to lower caloric intake.

Also 132lbs at 5’4 is not overweight. Sometimes losing weight is the wrong goal sometimes build muscles is the better goal.

I’m 35 days and same. I weight every morning same conditions. But I feel amazing on 18:6! I know that my two days in a row of 20:4 were getting me to a better place… felt a shift within. I trust to keep doing this slowly but surely … been losing and gaining but notice a teeny downward trend.
