First week in the books.

I started a 16/8 fasting program last week. I honestly can’t believe how good I feel. I’d read articles before I started fasting that said I’d feel more alert and energetic but I was highly skeptical of those benefits. I’m happy to report that I was wrong. I feel good. I definitely have more energy, and I feel mentally focused especially in the mornings. I’m also sleeping like a stone. This is definitely a diet plan that’s going to be easier to stick to if the side effects are energy and good sleep.

I haven’t started IF yet but I’m considering. I’ve made half-assed attempts then felt exhausted and binged. When does this energy kick come along? Maybe if I had an expected timeframe I could stick it out?

Yayy!! Good job on killing the first week!! I think the fact that new diets sometimes tend to feel like a mountain to overcome, puts people off or gets them discouraged!

If IF allows you to keep going by just making small tweaks here and there, I think it will be much more sustainable in the long run. I am 3 weeks in and have been pleasantly surprised to have achievable this feels.
