How bad are fast food entrees?

Honestly I love love love fast food. I want to be healthy but I really don’t want to completely give up fast food. Just for an example lets say I at a triple cheeseburger from mcdonads everyday but I didnt eat any fries or get any soda. I also exercised daily and all my other meals were relatively healthy. How bad would this be?

Occasionally indulging is gonna be less detrimental than eating it every single day. Even if you maintain a healthy weight, your body will still be feeling the effects of the unhealthy ingredients/nutritional profile of the meal.

Things become affected downstream like microbiome quality, mental health, heart health, etc.

Answer

You love fast food because you’re addicted. If someone said “I don’t want to give up meth because I love it” you’d stop and scowl and say that’s a ridiculous justification, get sober and you’ll have have way better life

Same with fast food. It’s got fat and salt and sugar and it makes for one addicting roller coaster in your mouth. It’s not heathy tho and one fast food burger a day is not good at all. And you know that! But you’re trying to justify not facing your addiction and carrying on like you can just have less and it’s fine. For most people, they have to quit the addiction entirely and there’s no “just a little.” Not in the early stages anyway

Source - I’m an addict, of a few things, one being fast food. And it’s one of the harder things to quit

One of the problems I see with this daily triple cheeseburger strategy is sodium. That burger alone is over 1100 sodium, which is a big chunk of your daily recommended limit. Add to that, you’re getting a lot of carbs with just a tiny bit of fiber.

That said, if you love ‘em, you love ‘em and I see no problem with allowing yourself a little treat every now and then. But the key is “every now and then”. Can you perhaps limit yourself to once per week? Or maybe even once a month?

Answer

You can’t out exercise a bad diet, triple cheeseburgers are full of fat, you have to choose, which one do you want more? To be fit and healthy or the triple cheeseburgers, if you can’t give up takeaway then maybe you’re not ready for this journey yet?

Answer

It’s certainly not the healthiest idea but it’s better than a method addiction, being an alcoholic, cigarette smoker or Vaper.

Stay in good shape with excercisez eat healthy and GET YOUR CHOLESTEROL CHECKED EVERY COUPLE YEARS!!!!!!!

Seriously, if you eat that much fast food it’s good to get your cholesterol checked often, this will tell you without question what it’s doing to your body.

People think they love or need things in their live like fast/junk food, alcohol, cigarettes etc, and when presented with the idea that they need to completely stop those things for their health, they try to bargain/rationalize and say “well what if I only do it x times a week.” But thats the habit talking. i’m not saying you can never have a cheeseburger or insert vice here ever again but including them as part of your regular routine is only reinforcing the idea that you need it to happy.

I’m technically a hypocrite bc I have some bad habits myself but I recognize that I don’t need them or even want them. They just feel good, which tricks your brain into thinking that without them you wont be able to feel good. Your brain literally thinks that these things are keeping you alive.

Look up dopamine detox and find out why “normal” things don’t satisfy us anymore.
