I feel like finding a good YouTube resource is helpful the key is finding a good one. Over all you want someone who isn’t telling you to cut out whole food groups. Everyone needs protein, fat, and carbs. Those are your macronutrients. Then vitamins and minerals are your micro nutrients which also everybody needs. Ideally you want to get this from Whole Foods sources. So that’s where coming to read labels comes in to play. However if there is a food item that has one or two ingredients that aren’t considered “clean” it is OK in the stage it is almost impossible to have a fully clean diet unless you have the time to make everything from scratch. Ultimately it’s about baby steps and building what is sustainable for you versus trying to dive headfirst. Also an easy rule of thumb is shop the perimeter of the grocery store meaning the produce isles the meat section and where the dairy is capped a.k.a. eggs milk milk alternatives. just because the middle isles are the items that are shelf stable usually have a lot more additives as well as are just less healthy compared to homemade whole vegetables or whole grains. Also, sugar is not the devil however there is a lot of added sugar in today’s items so personally I prefer to know where my sugars coming into my diet I choose to have honey and cinnamon in my morning coffee but I don’t want to have extra sugar in my pasta sauce on my bread or my PB things like that. And the more that you start looking at that type of content the more that you will build knowledge overtime

I started doing this by first setting a goal for myself. Back in the days I was into lots of weightlifting & body sculpting, so my goal was to gain more muscle and not too much fat. I’d read books on how to gain muscle. I’d talk to the trainers about it, I’d do tons of research on it. I have hired a nutritionist as well. I was seeking as much knowledge as possible.

This was a while back, these days the resources available to people are absolutely amazing. having a goal is very important in my opinion. These days I am trying to gain lean muscle, so I am reading books , reading articles, read the labels on food. It is a on-going education that keeps going on.

In addition to what others have said, Start reading labels of all the things you buy. It will give you a really good idea of whats in things. Find articles on the internet to understand about the listed macronutrients (carbs, protein, fats) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). Finally, read about recommended daily values for all of the above.
