Hi all. I’m a 30 yo male,5’ 9”, 215 pounds.

Like many, I gained plenty of weight due to COVID, terrible habits (drinking…), and gyms being closed. I just found out that my friends Christmas party is back on, I haven’t seen my friends in over two years. I’m not new to fitness or anything, but extreme weight loss will require extreme dieting (snake diet). I bought some boulder salt on amazon, so I should be ready to roll.
I just made this post for accountability. I have a little over 5 weeks until I see them all. I’d ideally like to drop at least 20 pounds but ideally 30+. I’m going to fast for as long as possible with small refeeds, low carb etc. I might throw in a dry fast as well, but I’ll take it day by day.
It sucks with the holidays coming up, but what sucks more is feeling and looking like shit lol

So anyways, here goes nothing.
It might be more wise to build a routine that you can stick to. 48 hour fasts combined with exercise will probably be easier on you physically and mentally than going for extended fasts right out of the gate.
You’ll get a similar transformation out of that too. I went from 220 - 190 in a month just alternate day fasting and exercising. (Light exercise mind you, I was just walking.) you could pretty easily beat that with lifting and 48 hour fasts.
