I messed up my 4 day fast!

Im on day 3 and i went and got the fam some chicken because they wanted chicken. As i was leaving the place a fry was hanging out the bag and i picked it up and ate it. Im disappointed! I forgot for a quick second i was on my fast.

That’s okay, things happen. Don’t be so hard on yourself. It is okay to be disappointed, but move through the disappointment quickly, don’t dwell on it.

3 days is a good length as it is.

Next time maybe try being mindful / intentional about your fast each morning and night. I can’t imagine accidentally eating something when I’m fasting–my mouth is just not ready to have food in it!

I’ve done this before. I’ve also spit food out in horror before swallowing (during water fasting, not dry).

It’s a natural instinct and easily happens even with veteran fasters.

Don’t worry about it too much – you’ve done a great 3 day dry fast and that’s worth a lot!
