IM while Working out regularly (cardio)

Recently started 16:8 ans I find that when I am fasting while regularly working out, i am just passing out during random times in the day, and I don’t have the energy to keep up with all my to dos…

When does your body adjust? How log does it typically take? Do I need to cut back on the cardio workouts?

Thanks in advance.

Answer

Have you tried adjusting your eating window or when you do cardio in relation to when you fast? When I first started IF, I did 16:8, cardio 3-4x a week, and let my body adjust to that for the first month or so. Then I went to OMAD and started playing around trying to figure out my ideal time to eat and workout so that I had the most energy for exercising and just generally throughout the day. Now I workout nearly every day between 6-7am and eat in the evening, usually around 6-7pm. It’s just what works for me.

The important thing is to listen to your body. If you’re just constantly exhausted, something isn’t working with your timing.

Answer

I do the same UF 16:8 but I also do weight training. Make sure you fuel in your body before doing intense exercise. I stop eating at 8pm and start eating the following day around 12pm. I workout somewhere in between that once I get the energy from the food I am eating. I also drink coffee outside the eating times before noon. You may want to try 14:10 for a bit or adjust the times you eat. It could also be your diet as well.
