Looking for advice, want to start OMAD during the work week

So I want to start doing OMAD for weight loss. I want to stick to it for the 5 days I work and eat normally on the weekend. What I am worried about are energy levels/hunger issues during the work day.

I work a day shift every day, so I was thinking not eating until dinner after I get home would be the easiest. I would have something like a steak and steamed veggies, or baked fish with a salad. My job has me moving all day, the whole day. Not real heavy lifting or running, but I am on my feet.

Should I be worried about not having energy during the day? Or will my body simply adjust to when I am feeding it and be fine? Will the two normal days of eating mess with my body’s ability to adjust my circadian rhythm?

Answer

Energy is not an issue at all. The species would have not survived if prehistoric hunters would have lost their energy the first day they didn’t get food. As a matter of fact by the 4th day your resting metabolic rate actually goes up.

Now we are told that we should eat throughout the entire day and in-between wonder why society started to get fat ever since people started doing that.

I’m an ironworker, very physical job, climbing, busting my ass all day, I pretty much do OMAD everyday, because I don’t care to waste time making breakfasts and lunches. It’s honestly not that hard, and if it feels hard the only way to get over that is to just do it anyways, people at work call me crazy for not eating lunch, but I just tell them they are weak.

I’d say just go for it. All you have to lose is a little hunger suffering, and honestly we live in a world where people are wayyyy to accustomed to feeling full all the time. So I say give it a try, and try your best to make it work
