My cycle starts with dinner at 6 pm then wake up at 5:30 am with black coffee no sugar. Light breakfast at 10 am, lunch at 12 am and occasional snacks up to 4 pm? I can do this 5 days a week. Is it a good approach?
The wording here is making it hard to understand. But I think you say you eat from 10am to 6pm. Which would be 16 hours, which all the IFers suggest this is a good start and the minimum to be a “fast” .
Learn your body. Black coffee doesn’t effect insulin, so your still fasting. If you want longer fasts ,start slow. Eat breakfast at 1030/11. Dinner at 530/6. Small changes and slowly add more fasting time. Depending on your reasons for fasting, more fasted time quicker results. Also fasting is long term. With a short fast (16hours) you may not see alot of physical results right away. Don’t be discouraged.
If 10am - 4/6pm is your feeding window, you’re doing an 18:6/16:8 schedule, depending on when you stop eating.
If this works for and is sustainable, even for 5/7 days a week, then its a good approach.
