OMAD question

I see people say they do a 2pm-6pm fast and OMAD. How does that work? Do you snack outside of that meal?

Answer

It’s not uncommon for folks to give themselves like an hour to get their OMAD in, because depending on goals and body it can be a lot of food. I haven’t seen anyone taking 4 though.

There is a method penned as OMAD+. Which is a 8 hour or less eating window where you break fast with a small meal or snack, go for a few hours, and then get the bulk of your calories in one meal.

Answer

I’ve been doing OMAD (which is technically more like 20:4.

Protein shake around 8am, my one meal around lunch time around midday.

Now that I’ve started work I have to pull it more to an 18:6, having my protein shakes a little earlier but still much better than what I was doing prior (which was nightly fast food).

Answer

Think of it as one long meal eaten at leisure. Appetizer, soup or salad, main entrée, then maybe something sweet or wine. Gin Steven’s talks about it in her book, Fast. Feast Repeat. She eats one meal a day, but her window is open for a few hour to include drinks that aren’t approved during fasts
