Hello people of r/fasting ! First of all, I want to thank all of you for getting me motivated to start a fasting routine. Tomorrow morning I am finishing my first ever 48h fast (I am doing 5:2 fasting) and I was wondering what would be the best to eat for breakfast and lunch so that I don’t get any bad side effects. From what I understood it is best to eat a small portion of something relatively dry so I was thinking maybe some cookies and possibly milk for breakfast and then a grilled chicken tortilla for lunch. Would that work?
At 48 hours you can basically eat whatever you want.
I would however advise to avoid any refined sugar. Carbs from fibrous fruits and vegetables would be optimal. Could breakfast be eggs and strawberries or something instead of milk&cookies?
